As part of the Northwest Arkansas COVID-19 Comprehensive Response Plan, UAMS is hiring multiple positions to support COVID-19 contact tracing and case management throughout the region.
These positions will work collectively to limit the spread and ensure connections to services for special populations like the Hispanic and Marshallese—who have seen infection rates that are nearly 400% higher than the general population.
Contact Tracers
The contact tracers are provided with a list of COVID-19-positive person’s known contacts and reaches out to each of those contacts to help them safely quarantine, find alternate arrangements as necessary, and help them receive testing for COVID-19, if recommended. S/He may also help provide other assistance and referrals such as food delivery or alternative housing if they need extra support to safely self-quarantine. This position, with the support of a clinical care team, will also educate those exposed on the need to monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19.
Compensation: $22/hr

Bilingual Navigators
The bilingual outreach associates assist the team in providing cultural and in-language assistance to families and individuals affected by COVID-19, including providing information, resources, translation of materials, and interpreting services. S/He will work closely with a care team to ensure appropriate support is provided to individuals.
Compensation: $35,568/yr

Social Workers
The social workers are responsible for managing and providing guidance for staff involved in bilingual navigation and contact tracing related to COVID-19. S/He will also be involved in plans management and processes, quality control, developing processes and procedures for tracking participant outcomes and process for identifying implementation methods. The social workers work closely with staff to ensure that the case management process is implemented appropriately and addresses any issues identified by community-based team members in case management process. Some travel required (5% to 10%).
