Program Officer, Home Region

The Walton Family Foundation is actively seeking a new Program Officer to join the Home Region team with a focus on housing and mobility. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of work in an affordable housing, professional urban planning setting, or related field and be able to serve as a critical advisor and subject matter expert to increase workforce housing, transportation options, and the development of inclusive and welcoming places through various philanthropic tools and public/private leverage opportunities.

Regional Affordability is a strategy housed within the Home Region’s Inclusive Growth and Sense of Belonging initiative with the goal of ensuring that residents of all backgrounds, across all neighborhoods, have access to opportunity.

Compensation Range: $128,000 – $160,000

Finance and Business Development Director, Workforce Housing Center

The newly launched Northwest Arkansas Workforce Housing Center (WHC) seeks a finance and business development director, with deep experience in the housing real estate market. This position will source workforce housing developments eligible for funding through a Northwest Arkansas Housing Fund that is expected to launch within the next year. Experience and deep knowledge with housing pro formas, development finance and complex capital stacks are essential. Experience in impact investing is a plus.

The mission of the WHC is to provide strategic regional leadership, expertise and resources to strengthen communities by expanding housing for working families near employment, commercial, and cultural centers in Northwest Arkansas.

Real Estate Development & Construction Manager

Partners for Better Housing is seeking a Real Estate Development and Construction Manager with at least 5 years of relevant experience. This newly created position will primarily run development functions at Homes at Willow Bend—a mixed-income, single-family residential neighborhood in Fayetteville that actively assists modest-income families in achieving the dream of homeownership. In addition, the manager will be responsible for pursuing and establishing new development opportunities for the organization.

Founded in 2007, Partners for Better Housing is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) housing development organization endeavoring to build quality workforce housing and facilitate upward mobility for modest and moderate-income families in Northwest Arkansas. Through the grassroots efforts of many community stakeholders over the past 15 years, Partners is now poised to scale its programs, leverage its development expertise, and champion effective housing policy to meaningfully address housing challenges throughout the region.
