The Jones Center’s 2024 Community Impact Report underscores its growing role in Northwest Arkansas, creating opportunities for people across the region to connect, learn and thrive. As a community hub, the center continues to expand access to recreation, arts and lifelong learning, ensuring more families can participate in programs that strengthen both individual well-being and regional quality of life.

A Deepening Commitment

Over the past year, the Jones Center has not only welcomed more visitors but has also deepened its commitment to affordability and access. Memberships and scholarship programs grew significantly, making it easier for families to take part in everything from youth sports and swim lessons to summer camps and arts programming. The center also remains a major supporter of nonprofits, providing rent-free space that allows organizations to focus on serving the community rather than overhead costs.

Lifesaving Lessons

One of the most meaningful expansions this year has been in lifesaving swim instruction, particularly through a new initiative with Springdale’s Jones Elementary. When third graders visited the center to test their swim skills, most students were unable to swim, underscoring a critical gap in water safety education. Those students were immediately enrolled in free after-school swim lessons, setting the stage for this program to serve more schools in the coming years. It is a small but powerful example of how the Jones Center identifies community needs and takes action to address them.

A Healthier and Stronger Community for All

The center’s impact also extends beyond its own programs. As a space for regional events, sports competitions and public gatherings, it brings together people from across Northwest Arkansas. Whether through hosting local hockey games, expanding arts performances or supporting nonprofit work, the Jones Center continues to play a key role in shaping a more connected and thriving region.

“With double-digit growth in 2024 for total site visits, memberships, and Access for Everyone scholarships for local families, I am beyond proud of our team,” said Joe Lloyd, president and CEO of the Jones Center. “In 2025, we will continue this momentum, helping our members and guests thrive while creating a healthier, stronger community for all.”

A Place Where Everyone Can Belong

The Jones Center’s impact is clear: It is more than a community facility—it is a regional asset helping to shape the future of Northwest Arkansas. Through expanded access to recreation, arts and education, it continues to create opportunities that strengthen the entire region, making it a place where everyone can belong and succeed.
